BIO

Dr. Bigrigg's research is in the interdisciplinary intersection of social + communication + information
networks. Central has been the theme of data: data security, data integrity, data reliability and
large-scale data processing. Applications of this research have been in secure storage systems,
software reliability and integrity analysis of data subsystems, the reliability of pervasive sensor
networks, and the extraction of networks and models from text. His teaching has included traditional
computer science classes as well as the course "Social Implications of Technology", which studies the
impact of technology in the areas of reliability, integrity and security.

RESEARCH

My research interests lie in the intersection of systems, networks,
and data. Some recent examples of this has been Computer-Aided Engineering,
Reliable Distributed Information Systems, and Pervasive Sensor Networks.

Current Projects:
TANA: Text and Network Analytics
D2SAMP
DS3, Decision Support Systems - Sensors

Previous Projects:
Linking Social and Communication Networks
AutoMap: Extract, Analyze, and Represent Relational Data from Texts
SORASCS: Software Architecture to Support Socio-Cultural Modeling
Pervasive Infrastructure Sensor Networks
Program Analysis for Reliable Software Development (PARIS)
Perpetually Available Secure Information Systems (PASIS)
Active Disks and Storage Networks
